Don't forget to yell Bingo

One aspect that bingo players particularly enjoy is yelling out "bingo" when they get a line on their card. Not only is it fun to yell this word out when you've won the game, but it's even better knowing that a prize is coming your way. Unfortunately, there are beginning bingo players who don't fully understand the game yet, and are late in yelling bingo. And while you might think this is a mere formality, it is most definitely not!
Assuming you don't yell bingo in time, the caller will move on to the next number. Once the caller has said the next number, many bingo parlors don't count your line as a valid bingo any more. Now this might sound harsh, but the reality is that you really need to pay attention when playing the game, or you risk losing out on bingo wins.
This being the case, the most important skill in bingo is to stay focused and alert. Sure this may sound easy, but as many live bingo players can attest to, it's difficult keeping track of all the different numbers that have been called. This is especially the case when you've been playing bingo for a couple of hours, and you're nearing the end of a long night. So always bring along something to keep you awake like a soda or coffee since the caffeine will keep you alert.
Another important tip for staying alert and focused is only playing an amount of cards that you can actually handle. For example, you might think that you're able to play four cards, but if this causes you to miss even one number, then you are playing at a disadvantage. Furthermore, having to scan this many cards at once could cause you to be late on calling out a bingo. Long story short, you should start with just a few bingo cards, and work your way up from here.
Those who play online bingo can definitely benefit from the aforementioned tips as well because if you're slow on calling a bingo, you could miss out on some major money. Of course, some online bingo sites offer the auto dauber feature, which marks cards for you, and comes in handy when you don't have time to watch all of your cards at once.
